Excuse me for sounding ignorant (I’m English by the way) but isn’t St Patrick’s Day all about Ireland. I know NI is under British rule but they are still part of Ireland too. Deadpool kiss me and I’m touching you tonight st patrick’s day shirt They will all be celebrating their Irishness as far as I see it… so what is the problem. Even over here we celebrate St Patrick’s Day better than we celebrate any other national day. We wave the Irish flag and do all the fun stuff. Beurocracy gone mad again. PC garbage.

It’s about the Christians finally destroying the last of the original Irish culture through slaughter and rape. It’s one of the only real Christian holidays we celebrate. The rest of them are based on the original pagan celebrations. It’s ironic. Your so right! My great grandparents are from bally Castle NI, Deadpool kiss me and I’m touching you tonight st patrick’s day shirt I went there from Texas a few years ago in search of my Roots and was appauled at the dislike Ireland and NI had for each other. My maternal grandparents are from county Cork, all ended up in San Francisco, now buried a few yards from each other. No wonder we end up a little coo coo! Nu

I love ireland and it’s people. Many friends both north and south. Still so much to know and learn about the country and its heritage. I’m not a politically minded person but the politicians do annoy me when they made decisions based on what’s apparently PC. Not quite sure where Nick and Selim are coming from… being nice or sarcastic but I’ll not worry about that. I love all things Irish and want to see the land prosper.
The British flag flies over northern Ireland because it is part of Britain and British ruled. Unlike southern Ireland which is an independent democracy and a separate country. Not allowing the Irish flag to fly is probably a means to help keep the peace.Or in another context how would it be if the swastika was allowed on st Georges day.if you get my drift. Totally wrong comparison Philip Ryan. Anyone born on the island of Ireland whether it be the 26 county free state or the occupied 6 counties has a right to be classed as an Irish citizen and have an Irish passport. So why should a sizeable chunk of the population (ever increasing thanks to brexit) who identify as Irish be denied the right to wave the Irish flag. There will be tri-colours flown all over the world and all over Britain but not in a small section of the island of Ireland
