Do you work for free? It interesting that they advocate for universal healthcare like they care about people but the root of the argument is that they really only care about themselves. Budweiser beer floral hawaiian shirt No such thing as a free lunch, buddy. Somebody paid. Because we leave in the most powerful country in the world, because it’s citizens pay the highest taxes in the world, because the health care system is rigged to make drug companies and health insurance companies that can only be owned by white people profit by the billions of dollars Yep those 15 years of school and hard work are tooootally my right and i tooootally shouldnt have to pay them to help me. Man what a great ideal. So those would be American rights, not human rights.
Human rights are what you’re entitled to for existing. There aren’t many. You have life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness (property) EMTALA is a federal law that prohibits hospitals from denying emergency care regardless of ability to pay or insurance status, so we’ve decided that health care is a right. The question is to what extent are people deserving of routine, affordable medical care, and it’s a pretty sick indictment on our society that we’re even having philosophical debates about it at this point and without proper healthcare, what life do you have? Without access to treatments, what liberties do you have? Without doctors and medicine that could cure or manage, what happiness can you pursue? Kinda like our current system Everyone pays, everyone benefits. I thought you guys were supposed to be smart.
