One week ago I had a single mastectomy to remove stage zero DCIS. Supposedly the “best” kind to have since they say no chemo nor radiation. Hope they are correct. Scared to death. Not brave. Not a warrior. Don’t want to be in this club. No pink ribbons for me. and the survivors, although it would have been nice to least mention sometime, at least once, in September that it was Childhood Cancer Awareness month for our kids I would love to receive a pink care package. I had breast cancer in 3 places in 1995 in my right breast and had to have it removed and reconstruction. 3 weeks ago I found out after 23 years that I have cancer in my left breast. Waiting to have surgery again for mastectomy.
