I’m an introvert myself, and of course anyone is allowed to withdraw anytime they like. But “it’s amazing what happens when people actually interact with other people” is still percent true. Yes, introverts need downtime and alone time, but that’s time for recharging. Wonderful things happen when we reach out and interact with others. If she had REALLY wanted to get away, I see no evidence that she couldn’t have asked him to leave or changed her seat.
