there are no more predators than there ever were. It’s no more unsafe now than it was twenty, thirty, forty years ago. There was just less obesity in children then. All I need is mascara and insulin shirt you have to realize these days there are predators out there so it’s not safe for the kids of this era to walk to school by themselves.

and Joanne right but it’s more because we didn’t have the Amber Alert in place until 1996 so it wasn’t broadcasted everywhere, people didn’t think about it happening, to be fair I believe with today’s tech and safety it probably happens less BUT it does happen sad to say due to parents working many parents are letting their children walk to school and leaving them alone while they wait to catch a bus or walk to school and All I need is mascara and insulin shirt this time a year it is still dark when many children have to walk to school or walk to catch a bus like in Red Deer Alberta. I do not agree with seeing so many children left a lone i wish they would just get a sitter until the bus comes or for after school.
this father’s JOB is to teach his child how to treat people in this world. Treat people with respect and you will be treated the same. He is teaching her He’s not doing anything to harm her or “bully” her…he’s teaching her that if she bullies people, she won’t just get things easy. The fact that she told her dad that HE’D have to take her instead, shows me that she doesn’t care that she was suspended, therefore, she’d probably continue bullying when she’s next on the bus. Now he’s done this, she’ll hopefully just know that things aren’t as easy as just running to daddy. He’s teaching her right in my opinion. Walking 5 miles isn’t bullying, it’s simply an inconvenience for her which is good. Plus, it’s not like he’s showing her face or anything is it?
