I am a t.o.d and even though I am hearing I get that it is not easy. I am just trying to educate those that don’t deal with the deaf on a daily basis and I don’t mean to offend anyone but on the same respect I don’t need to be called names. I know that you did not do the name calling. A prayer for accountants lord thank you for always being the great provider poster They have to start someplace…and yes the hearing aids helped, they wouldn’t be responding with a smile or a giggle. So if you had a child that was deaf…
you wouldn’t put a hearing aid in becoase ..why??? Bless the babies and the parents, what such joy! let the families enjoy their moment. I never said I wouldn’t have them have either an aid or implant. My point is that yes they need to start someplace but the focus should also be on the lag in language. Which is where deaf children are so far behind. What I mean by obtaining language are the parents going to focus on the child being oral or are they going to use ASL?
