Agree with you, I also originally missed Bombadil but excepted in the big picture (story) the whole Bombadil chapter was a sideline to the main story and took nothing out of the MAIN story 18 years of the lord of the rings 2001 2019 signatures shirt It doesn’t even have to be about the process of making a film, just knowing what each medium of storytelling does well and doesn’t do well. Books aren’t going to have the visual detail of a movie or a comic book.

The movie I loved most of his after so many, was What Dreams May Come, and when it came out, it hurt me because of the suicide aspect of it and personal reasons so it remained hard to watch for years but was forever rendered as my favourite. Time has passed and he made his choices and life was what it was for him but maybe deep down that is why I knew that was a hard movie to watch, but most likely; it’s hard to see someone fall prey to their own battles 18 years of the lord of the rings 2001 2019 signatures shirt and to see it on the scale of an epic film, knowing that their greatest feat was to make you laugh despite their own pain. Take it from somebody who has a degree in film theory and production. The Lord of the Rings trilogy is one of the best adaption jobs committed to film ever, period. Your personal enjoyment may vary but shouting that he left out Bombadil or whatever other niggle you have just proves how little you really understand the process of film making.
Have a nice day and hope you enjoy it

Movies aren’t going to have the inner voices of books or comic books, books aren’t going to have the fast visual detail of movies or comic books, movies aren’t going to have the space to tell massive stories like books and comic books, books and comic books don’t have the sound and sound track of movies, and video game stories are another beast entirely. There are so many books that would probably be horrible (or cheesy) if done 100% true to the book. The hobbit movies were an abomination and deeply insulting to Tolkien’s legacy. If you can’t see that, your school failed you. The lotr movies were pretty good though, all things considered.
