Mango – a fashion brand from Spain has been taking the next step in its journey towards sustainable fashion through the launch of collections for everyday life.
Mango launches first denim collection to realize new sustainability goal
Not only evoking the fashion of the 2000s through low-cut details or stylish cuts, but the designs in Mango’s denim collection also bring a modern spirit with many new and unique variations in shape. . Accompanying this campaign is model Indira Scott – a girl who has a positive influence on the green and environmentally friendly living. She had beautiful moments with Mango under the talented lens of photographer Dario Catellani.
With an aspiration towards sustainable fashion and minimizing negative impacts on the environment, Mango prioritizes using 100% cotton fabrics and of which at least 20% is recycled. For attachments such as rivets, the dacron label commonly found on denim products will be reduced and eliminated.
Moreover, Mango also uses 3D technology with the ability to print directly on the fabric before cutting and sewing, which increases the efficiency of the production process and limits printing errors. In addition, paper labels are replaced by embossed information inside each design, in order to minimize natural resources.
Denim is the first streamlined collection at Mango with the goal of bringing users environmentally friendly products. This is also the guideline in the brand’s “Sustainable Vision 2030” strategy. Mango is aware of choices and every action, even the smallest, will somehow bring about a better world for future generations. The brand’s goal by 2030 is to develop all of its products with 100% sustainably sourced or recycled fibers. In order to achieve this, over the next few years Mango will begin to strengthen circular production technology improvements and increase recycling.
From the above orientation, Mango establishes three policies. The first is the recycling loop, creating minimalist designs using the same fabric or few accessories. Second, prolong product life with soft, durable materials certified by AITEX ( Spanish Association for Textile Research). Finally, there is no waste, focusing on optimizing product quality and reducing textile waste.
The denim collection is now available at all Mango Vietnam stores and ACFC online channels. With the desire to spread positive values as well as gratitude to customers who have accompanied us in the past time, Mango also offers a special promotion program.
