Doja Cat visited “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday, bringing her whimsical energy and charm. The celebrity gave Fallon some dance lessons, talked about her next tour, and sang a breathtaking rendition of “Acknowledge Me.”
Doja disclosed in the interview that her “Scarlet” tour’s European leg will have a distinctive “hair” theme. She brought a big, fuzzy yeti-like costume from one of her dancers’ recent Coachella headline act to show off. Fallon bravely tried on the costume, learning some of Doja’s distinctive moves to a funky Roots rhythm while straining to keep the pants up.
The early dance background of Doja Cat was also discussed in the conversation. The rapper shared memories of competing in dance competitions as a child and dancing in a teenage dance crew. She even related a touching tale of her first concert experience, which involved watching Earth, Wind & Fire with her mother. Her follow-up performance? Even if it wasn’t the best view, Beyoncé’s presentation was nevertheless spectacular.
Later on, Doja Cat made a triumphant comeback to the stage with her rendition of “Acknowledge Me.” Surrounded by a full band and a six-piece choir, she gave a mesmerizing performance of the seductive song while wearing a chic white haircoat and covered in smoke.
