After graduating from high school, the male student plans to give up rugby to pursue a singing career. As a quarterback for the high school football team, the talents of Jackson Dean Nicholson (Gambrills, Maryland, USA) are not limited to sports. Last Friday, in a home game, Nicholson surprised with the performance of playing the guitar while singing the national anthem.

According to Yahoo Lifestyle on October 26, a video posted on YouTube shows a 17-year-old male student standing in front of the school’s band and cheerleaders, wearing the Wildcats team uniform. When the sweet song plays, the familiar national anthem seems to be wearing a completely new color, making the crowd listen in silence.

The video currently has more than 100,000 views. Many people expressed admiration for Nicholson’s musical talent, wondering why he has not yet become a celebrity.

“This is the quintessence of the American people. The performance is unique, delicately handled and full of emotion. Hooray young man,” one person wrote. “I am speechless! Your talent is amazing!”, another commented.

In fact, this is not the first time Nicholson has sung on the pitch or posted videos on his personal YouTube page. However, this performance could be the breakthrough.

In an interview with the Capital Gazette , the male student said he was ready to leave high school and football to pursue a singing career.

“This is the last year of school. I have completed all the credits and only have to register for this semester, which ends next January. The principal is very supportive of what I do,” Nicholson said.

The only female student on the American school football team

Spillman played in the center position, leading the school’s all-boys team. Neveah Spillman (13 years old) of Kansas City, Missouri, USA has been playing football since the age of 4. All her hard work and hard work paid off when the female student officially joined the Maple Park Middle School rugby team and held an important position, according to Yahoo Lifestyle on September 29.

As the only girl on the team, Spillman was “nervous from the start”. However, his teammates all praised him when he showed off the outstanding skills of a player playing in the center position (the pitcher).

According to Spillman, many people often think that rugby is not for girls. Therefore, when I hear positive comments about me, I get more motivated.

At the end of a match, Spillman took off his helmet to shake his opponent’s hand. “Oh, it’s a girl! Their center is a girl!”, the friend team usually reacts like this. “They were shocked. But I think they found this amazing,” Spillman said.
