The exhibition “A walk of the petals” is an important event marking the 10-year journey of PHUONG MY. Taking place from December 8 to 12 at the Independence Palace – the symbol of Ho Chi Minh City – where the journey of PHUONG MY begins.

The exhibition consists of 10 art-rich exhibition spaces arranged mainly from flowers according to their own ideas, recreating the 10-year journey with typical designs showing the imprint of PHUONG MY. Famous designs are carefully curated into works of art, sublimated by the creative ability to touch emotions in each exhibition space.
Space is an art world where PHUONG MY’s emotions and ambitions are depicted. Throughout the 10 exhibition spaces are stories of inspiration and design ideas from the earliest moments of the profession to the present. For the first time, PHUONG MY’s works were brought back to the public for viewing. Taking the milestone of being born in 2013, the audience will be sublimated in the international space of PHUONG MY’s 10-year journey.
2013 is also the first year of the fashion career of PHUONG MY. The style honors the image of Asian women who are known not only for their talent, enthusiasm, feminine beauty, and sophistication but also for their strong will. The Fall/Winter 2013 collection emphasizes the texture of the outfit, impressed with the first hourglass shape, delicate soft waistlines, and minimalist details, and in tune with current trends. general fashion of the world (elegant chic – sophistication, luxury ).
Room No.02 is inspired by the Spring – Summer 2014 collection from the natural colors of summer. PHUONG MY has chosen many gentle pastel shades such as light pink, cream pink, mint green, blue-gray and lemon yellow – like the color of cool sorbets – for their feminine designs.
The Spring Summer 2015 collection called Petals is placed in room No.03 with designs with printed patterns such as leaves and flowers falling on the fabric and changing shape slightly according to the light, wind, and surrounding scenery. This motif is made exclusively for the brand by a Japanese artist specializing in fashion printing, they are printed randomly so as not to duplicate each other.
Empty room No.04 with designs that are still faithful to the criteria of exploiting the physical beauty of women. It is the image of classic ladies of the 1950s in long dresses, minimalist style with wide-brimmed hats creating mysterious accents. This is also the first time that PHUONG MY uses fabric to make the Reflection collection of Japanese – Korean origin.
At the intersection of painting and sculpture, PHUONG MY still retains its strength in choosing high-quality materials; besides simulating the characteristic shaping technique; costumes reminiscent of rich sculptures. The spiritual imprint of sculptural art is conveyed by PHUONG MY and his associates through the meticulous and delicate pleating technique in room No.05. 2 Collections Spring Summer and Fall Winter 2017 not only create accents on the front; Pleated lines are also harmonized on the back of the dress.
Inspired by daffodils with slender stems, pearly white petals, and stamens, symbolizing the beauty of the sandstone and high bar in harmony with the high-end values of the couture fashion line, PHUONG MY has created creating BTS Spring Summer 2018 and room No.06 with the style of high fashion.
Room No.07 as a retrospective after many years of pursuing floral motifs that have contributed to the identity of its own brand, PHUONG MY returned to plain silk as a challenge for herself. It is easy to see that the costumes in the “Sonorous” collection have created a strong attraction because of their shape, from the cropped lines at the chest or the definitive zigzag shape at the waist to the natural bulge of the skirt. that Phuong My spoke about her design thinking.
Room No.08 contains a collection called Sayonara with inspiration from the saying of Japanese Buddhist Philosopher, Kaneko Daiei – “The petals fade, but the flower lives forever. The form fades, but the dignity remains.” In the Sayonara collection, PHUONG MY continues to develop a distinctive outfit shape, which is a bodice, large pleats, and asymmetrical composition…
Room No.09 is the room containing the Bridal Collection called Espoir by PHUONG MY. With two main colors white and red, a variation from the story of petals and fragrance of the previous Sayonara collection, Bridal: Espoir deserves to be one of the most beautiful wedding dress collections of 2019.
Ending the journey of discovery is a special space displaying the 25 latest designs of the PETALWALKER collection marking the 10-year journey of PHUONG MY. The PETALWALKER collection pays tribute to the original values that make up PHUONG MY’s mark – designs that honor the shape of a bee’s waist, premium materials woven in traditional European couture workshops, sophisticated cutting and sewing techniques, and the art of hand-sewing by artisans.
The exhibition “A walk of the petals” is not only a mark of PHUONG MY’s 10th anniversary but also shows the enthusiasm, thoughtfulness, and great aesthetic of fashion and art makers. The closing of the 10-year milestone is the premise for many more brilliant 10-year milestones.
